Francisco’s Mexican Restaurant is one of Henderson’s favorite places to eat. Start out your meal with Francisco’s Dip-chili con queso, chile, taco meat, and cheddar cheese. Or try the Stuffed Jalapenos, five breaded jalapenos stuffed with seasoned chicken breast and Monterey Jack cheese, served with ranch. The Fiesta Platter, complete with two stuffed jalapenos, beef nachos, fajita quesadillas, two flautas, guacamole, and sour cream.  Tortillas soup, table guacamole, and chile con queso are also available. For your entree, try the beef or chicken fajitas (or have both!): seasoned beef and chicken served on grilled onions and peppers. Or you could have the shrimp fajitas, another popular choice. Cheese quesadillas are two eight-inch flour tortillas, Monterey Jack cheese, served with rice, beans, guacamole, and sour cream. Add fajita chicken, beef, or shrimp for extra flavor! The Chicken Monterey dinner is grilled chicken, Monterey Jack cheese, mushrooms, and bell peppers. Jumbo Fajita Burrito is a ten-inch flour tortillas, wrapped around beans, cheddar cheese, and beef or chicken, topped with queso. If you aren’t feeling Mexican food, try the Monterey Jack Burger, a meat patty, mushrooms, jalapenos, bacon, Monterey Jack cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions.

Another favorite in Henderson is Hush Puppies. If you are eating healthy, try the Grilled Chicken Salad- a blend of fresh greens, carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, and cheese. Or you could try that salad with grilled, boiled, or fried shrimp. The Caesar Salad is another option. This salad is made of fresh romaine lettuce, grilled chicken, parmesan cheese, croutons, and Caesar dressing. For something heartier, try the Frog Legs- three large frog legs, hand breaded and fried. The Gator is also an excellent option, one dozen bite-sized pieces of hand-breaded, deep-fried alligator. The Stuffed Crab is three large crab shells filled with crab stuffing and spices. For a little bit of everything, try the Seafood Platter- two fish, two fried oysters, two frog legs, and one stuffed crab. Try the fish or shrimp tacos filled with coleslaw mix and cilantro chile lime sauce with either hand breaded fish or fresh fried shrimp. Try the Chopped Sirloin Steak for a half pound of grilled sirloin topped with fresh onions, mushrooms, and gravy. Finally, finish off your meal with a bowl of vanilla ice cream. Or try the pecan, peach, or blackberry cobbler.

Debbie’s Bistro is a yummy little sandwich shop in Henderson. A couple of the salads they offer are the Fresh Spinach Chicken Salad (made of spinach, grilled chicken, mandarin oranges, dried cranberries, feta cheese, Kalamata olives, tomatoes, and roasted artichoke), and the Santa Fe Chicken Salad (made of mixed greens, grilled chicken, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, roasted corn, black beans, tortilla strips, and chipotle ranch dressing). The Reuben Sandwich is made of sliced corn, beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, 1000 island dressing all grilled on marbled rye bread. The Ranch Dip Sandwich is another good choice with hot roast beef, grilled onions, mushrooms, Swiss cheese, and ranch dressing on a french roll with a side of Au Jus.
